  • THE PROJECT

    In my ongoing role at Colure Sports, I work closely with top-flight Portuguese side Estoril Praia on the long-term evolution and delivery of the club’s visual identity.

    Prior to my involvement, Colure had established the foundations of Estoril Praia’s core brand identity, including a refreshed crest, the introduction of a custom ‘Praia’ typeface, a refined colour system, and a comprehensive set of brand guidelines. Building on this framework, I now lead the ongoing design and art direction across all physical and digital touchpoints, developing and evolving the club’s visual identity season by season.

  • ABOUT THE CLUB

    Grupo Desportivo Estoril Praia is a Portuguese professional football club from Estoril, Cascais, Lisbon. Founded on 17 May 1939, the football team currently play in Primeira Liga, the top flight of Portuguese professional football, and hold home games at the Estádio António Coimbra da Mota.

  • I provided the club with a set of matchday templates for social media covering Matchday, Starting XI, Half-Time/Full-Time and Next Fixture templates. Each design was built to be easily adapted while maintaining a consistent identity, ensuring the club’s online presence felt up-to-date, engaging, and true to the brand we had built.

  • Personal favourite bespoke ‘Matchday’ and ‘Next Fixture’ graphics created for Instagram. Each design experiments with typography, photography and graphic effects to deliver eye-catching visuals that build excitement around upcoming fixtures.

    The designs explore different typographic arrangements, image treatments, and compositional styles, testing how hierarchy, scale, and visual contrast can be used to create strong, impactful statements within a social media feed. The aim was not only to produce striking matchday visuals, but also to refine an adaptable design language that can evolve across multiple fixtures while maintaining consistency and brand identity.

ONGOING

  • Covers and double-page spreads for Estoril’s Meninos da Linha programmes, I produce tailored editions for every home fixture across the season. Each issue follows a consistent creative direction, with a strong photographic focus on the supporters, local community, and the unique atmosphere of an Estoril Praia matchday.

  • To mark João Carvalho’s 75th appearance for Estoril Praia, I designed a commemorative poster which was framed and presented to him at full-time following the club’s 3–3 home draw against Moreirense.
